Almost Summer Time

Well the kids are counting down the last days of school. Wednesday is their last day. They have lots of plans already. Shellie goes to Girls Camp June 23 and Cody goes to Scout Camp June 30. Callie is coming for the first 2 weeks in July and we are so excited!! We have Callie and Shellie signed up for a week of Smash/Splash Camp where they will learn tennis 1/2 day and swim 1/2 day. Sounds like fun!!
Cody just wants to do things with his friends this summer till her turns 16 in July and then he wants to get a job so he can have his own money and get out the house some and away from Shellie. We hope that Macee and Ky can come in July to visit when they are out of school. We sure love having the cousins visit!!!

Mothers Day

What a great Mothers Day! I love my family so much!

Shellie's 12th birthday!

We have had a busy week. Shellie turned 12 on thursday so we took the boat out for the evening and it was great. On Wednesday Shellie got her hair cut and highlights...so cute! Monday we went to dinner as a family to celebrate Shellies bday, our 18th anniversary and the upcoming Mothers Day. Tuesday night we had Activity Days, Mutual and Scouts. Friday we got ready to Saturdays party. Today we celebrated Shellies bday with 2 parties(yes she is spolied). One from 10-1 for church friends and one from 4-7 for school friends. We rented a bounce house, played dance freeze, painted nails and ate snacks and cake(2 of them). It was really fun or so it sounded. My ears are still ringing from the high pitched screams of 11-12 year old girls! Tomorrow is Mothers Day and I am looking forward to the chance to rest. But on second thought, we have a poster and project due and a ton of makeup school work......nevermind-no resting. Darn it.

Sea World

We are back from Sea World and San Diego. It was so much fun. Mat and Marcy and their girls got to come at the last minute and it was wonderful to have them along. Granny and Pa were there and everyone had a blast!

Things are about the same around our house. We are working hard. Kids are doing well. Cody is planning his Eagle Project- clean up the shores/beaches of Lake Mead. He has to wait until it gets cooler-which wont be till late September. But he almost has everything to turn in to the Scout office. He met with a lady from the Parks dept and she approved the project and assigned him a section of shore line.
Shellie will be 12yrs old 1 month from today and is already planning her birthday. She has planned a big sleep over, taking all her friends to Scoops for ice cream , getting highlights, getting her nails done and getting a new cell phone. Hope she has planned on richer parents too!
We are counting down our days to Sea World- 2 weeks and 2 days to go!!

We are planning our trip to Sea World next month. We are excited!! We gave the kids the choice of Disneyland or Sea World. They both picked Sea World-it is our families favorite!
Both the kids have talks in church tomorrow and Mike has to teach his lesson. I dont have to conduct or doing sharing time. I have nothing to do tomorrow...boy that hardly ever happens!! Shellie is getting excited to turn 12 in 2 months. She is counting down the days till she can get highlights, go to Young Women and MAYBE wear a little eye makeup. We will see on that last one. :) Cody is doing well and looking forward to getting a job this summer.........wait that is me looking forward to him getting a job. He owes me at least his first two checks for that class ring he ordered!! We will be starting to teach him to drive soon, after all he will be 16 in 4 months. That will be his Dads job. I cant think of much worse things to have to do. After all, how is he going to learn to drive with a cell phone in one hand and an Xbox controller in the other?

Mike got LASIK!!!

Ok so this "blog" thing isnt a top priority for me. I will try to do better and update this more for those of you who care to know what we do down here in Vegas.
Our news this week is Mike had a little impulse buy friday. Lasik. Yes that sounds impulsive to those who we just saw the week before and never mentioned it. He has been shopping around for a good DR and a really good price. He found both on thursday and set up the surgery for the very next day. Really why wait?? It has been great. He still has a few weeks of healing and has to sleep in sunglasses so he wont scratch his eyes. He sees better every day and totally thinks it was worth it. He never really could wear contacts very good, eyes were way too dry. They put in plugs to help the dryness. So we will see how things are at his 1 week checkup but so far so good!!!

Back From Phoenix

I survived and so did my family. Let's hope my office has. I am back from my trip to Phoenix. Had a good time but glad to be home. Can't wait to sleep in my own bed!!
