Meet our new little girl-DIXIE

We added to our family this weekend. Meet DIXIE-she is a Boshih, that's Boston Terrier and Shihtzu mix. She is almost 8 weeks old and cute as can be! We survived our first night with her last night. She slept in her little pink bed all night and didn't cry till 6am. That cute pink princess bed was a gift from our friends-Chanda, Alesha & Kylie Holt. They were so nice to give that to her and Dixie loves it so much!
For those of you that are wondering how our cat Daisy is taking the new 'friend'. Well, we are taking that slowly. So far Dixie hasn't noticed Daisy. Mostly because Daisy hasn't left our bedroom very much since 1:30p yesterday. She will come out when the pup is sleeping. We are hoping that relationship blossoms soon. But right now Daisy is a little(ok alot) freaked out. She loved our Lefty and was so sad when he was gone-I just know she will love this new little pup soon. Ok, so I am hoping she will like Dixie soon or at least tolerate her! =)

Our Fun Weekend!

Granny and Pa came to visit us this weekend. We went to eat at Pei Wei and saw Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian Friday night. On Saturday we took a drive out by Red Rock and stumbled onto Bonnie Springs and Old Nevada. We had fun in the "old west". Then we ate an early dinner at the Rio's buffet. We ended the night eating movie popcorn and watching American Idol on dvr. Sadly today we had to take Granny and Pa to the airport. The rest of the day was pretty boring. I did get 3 space savers made and painted for our desks at work to raise the monitors up and house our keyboards when we need them out of the way. We do not own a saw, so I cheated a little by having Lowe's cut all the wood for me! I made 3 for less than $15 total! All in all, a very very nice weekend.

Shellie and Disneyland

Well-Shellie made it back safe and sound from her exciting and exausting day at Disneyland. She was able to go to California Adventures too. She had a great time with her friends! A couple of girls in her group got lost but Shellie wasnt one of them-thank goodness. The kids didnt have chapperones while in Disney. They could all run off and do their own thing!! She thought the Museum of Tolerance was pretty boring-all about history she said. Oh well!
